CMOC of China Sees Rise in 1H Tungsten and Niobium Production

Chinese diversified minerals producer CMOC, also recognized as Luoyang Luanchuan Molybdenum, has reported a notable increase in its tungsten and niobium output during the first half of this year compared to the same period last year.

The company produced 4,020 tons of tungsten (metal equivalent) from January to June, up from 3,813 tons the previous year. This growth is primarily due to an enhanced recycling rate for difficult-to-process ores, as noted by the company.

CMOC also reported selling 3,994 tons of tungsten (metal equivalent) in the first six months, reflecting a 12% increase year-over-year.

Moreover, CMOC produced 5,082 tons and sold 5,178 tons of ferro-niobium (metal equivalent) during the same period, showing year-over-year growth of 8% and 12%, respectively.

As China's second-largest producer of tungsten concentrate after China Minmetals, CMOC is also actively involved in the production and trading of molybdenum, copper, cobalt, and phosphate fertilizers.
