Strategic Acquisition Strengthens Aperam’s Global Aerospace and Specialty Steel Footprint
Aperam S.A., a global leader in stainless steel, specialty steel solutions, and recycling, has officially completed its acquisition of Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, a premier U.S. supplier specializing in aerospace and industrial applications. The deal, which received shareholder and regulatory approval, marks a significant step in Aperam’s strategic growth plan.
The acquisition strengthens Aperam’s foothold in the aerospace sector, enhances its Alloys & Specialties division, and expands its presence in the U.S. market. This move aligns with Aperam’s long-term goal of reducing cyclicality, broadening its high-value steel product portfolio, and reinforcing its role as a leading supplier of advanced steel solutions.
Aperam’s CEO, Timoteo Di Maulo, emphasized the significance of the acquisition, stating, “We are delighted to welcome Universal Stainless & Alloy Products and its 750 employees to the Aperam family. This acquisition allows us to decommoditize our portfolio, expand into high-performance applications, and strengthen our U.S. market presence.”
