Precision and Efficiency for Industrial AM
Dyze Design, a leading manufacturer of high-performance 3D printing extrusion systems, has launched Aurora, a cutting-edge motion control system designed for industrial and professional 3D printing applications. Developed over four years, Aurora aims to enhance precision, reliability, and workflow efficiency while reducing errors in additive manufacturing (AM).
Aurora introduces real-time process monitoring, dual-stage feedback for precise motor coordination, and cloud-based analysis tools for detailed performance insights. “Aurora™ addresses the limitations of traditional 3D printer controllers, especially the need for real-time data and sensor feedback,” said Philippe Carrier, CTO of Dyze Design. “Users can increase throughput, receive instant feedback, and resolve issues quickly—all at a price point lower than traditional PLCs.”
Tailored for Complex Manufacturing
Aurora supports up to 15 motors and 64 external devices, offering unmatched flexibility for complex manufacturing setups. Key features include:
- Real-Time Monitoring: Track prints, visualize process data with 3D models, and validate prints with actionable insights.
- Customizability: Adaptable to specific production needs with automated adjustments for speed and pauses.
- Maintenance Tracking: Tools for monitoring travel distance, heater usage, and other metrics to enable preventive care.
- Seamless Integration: Compatibility with Dyze Design’s Orthus filament sensor for consistent print quality and waste reduction.
Aurora’s modular design simplifies operations by eliminating mechanical switches during homing and offering a dedicated dashboard for real-time monitoring and troubleshooting.
Collaborative Development and Early Access
The system was developed in collaboration with Filament Innovations, a company specializing in 3D printers for orthotics and prosthetics. The partnership focused on addressing operational challenges and improving user interfaces to streamline workflows.
Dyze Design has also launched an Early-Access Program for manufacturers, enabling them to explore tailored solutions and influence future developments.
Transforming Industrial 3D Printing
Aurora represents a significant advancement in motion control for industrial AM, providing manufacturers with tools to optimize workflows, enhance print quality, and maintain flexibility in demanding production environments. With features like over-the-air updates and HDMI compatibility, Aurora ensures adaptability to evolving manufacturing needs.
Dyze Design’s Aurora is poised to become a game-changer, bringing precision, efficiency, and reliability to the forefront of industrial 3D printing.
