Hydnum Steel and Gonvarri Industries have entered into a €1 billion strategic agreement to spearhead the green steel revolution on the Iberian Peninsula. This partnership sets the stage for sustainable industrial transformation in Spain, with significant implications for construction, energy, and automotive industries.
Driving Green Steel Innovation
Hydnum Steel, the first producer of green steel in Iberia, will supply decarbonized steel from its advanced facility in Puertollano. This plant, poised to become Spain’s premier green steel producer, boasts an annual capacity of 2.6 million tonnes of flat steel. The collaboration aims to integrate environmentally friendly steel solutions into key industrial sectors, reducing carbon footprints and meeting stringent environmental standards.
