Abcourt Mines Reports High-Grade Gold Intercepts at Sleeping Giant Mine

Abcourt Mines

Abcourt Mines Inc. [TSXV: ABI; OTCQB: ABMBF] has announced key drilling results from its Sleeping Giant Mine in Quebec, highlighting significant gold intercepts. The latest drilling campaign, conducted in October and November 2024, is part of an ongoing mineral resource update and economic prefeasibility study.

High-Grade Assay Results

The company completed 62 drill holes totaling 5,977 meters between levels 235 and 295. Of these, 20 holes were drilled from level 295, targeting zones 04 and 05, covering 1,757 meters. Key results include:

  • 171.53 g/t gold over 0.5 meters in hole 29-287.
  • 126.55 g/t gold over 0.8 meters in hole 29-284.

Exploration and Resource Expansion

According to Mohamed Haithem Bennia, Superintendent Geology at Sleeping Giant Mine, the drilling campaign has increased and better defined mineral resources. He emphasized the commitment to further exploration and engineering efforts to optimize mine development.

Drill data indicates several mineralized intervals outlining subparallel veins. Mapping work confirms that veins from the South bay show higher-grade potential compared to the North bay. These veins appear to be the lower extension of the 23-S04-5-E327 and 23-05-E328 stopes identified in the 2023 Preliminary Economic Assessment by Deswik.

Next Steps

  • Zones 04 and 05: Update 3D modeling, reassess mineral resources, and optimize stope design.
  • Upper Mine Levels: Continue rehabilitation of galleries and drilling operations.
  • Lower Mine Levels: Advance Phase 1 drilling of the 785N and lower East zones, reassess upper 785N potential for Phase 2.

Outlook

The ongoing drilling and resource evaluation reinforce confidence in the Sleeping Giant Mine’s high-grade potential. Further updates are expected as Abcourt Mines continues its strategic resource expansion and mine optimization efforts.
