Strategic Partnership to Expand Hithium’s Global Footprint in Energy Storage

Hithium, a leading manufacturer of battery energy storage systems (BESS), has announced a strategic partnership with Samsung C&T, a South Korean engineering and construction firm. This collaboration aims to develop multiple global energy storage projects with a combined capacity of up to 10GWh, marking a significant step in Hithium’s international expansion.

Hithium's Expanding Global Presence

Hithium has a strong track record, having delivered over 50GWh of BESS products across China and Eastern Europe. The company recently entered the Australian market through a 640MWh project in partnership with utility-scale renewable energy developer Lightsource BP.

While the specific timeline for the newly announced projects with Samsung C&T has not been disclosed, the partnership underscores Hithium’s growing presence in the global market. Additionally, Hithium Tech USA, a subsidiary of Hithium, is investing $100 million in a new battery module and energy storage assembly plant in Mesquite, Texas. This facility is expected to have an annual production capacity of 10GWh, further strengthening Hithium’s manufacturing capabilities.
