Enhanced Efficiency and Surface Finish
Mantle has introduced a software update that increases production throughput by up to 20%. The update also enhances surface finish on downfacing surfaces, allowing manufacturers to produce tooling components that require minimal post-processing, reducing lead times and labor costs.
"Implementing Mantle's Automated Toolmaking System has been transformative for our operations at Elite Mold," said Paul Patrash, CEO of Elite Mold & Engineering. "The technology has enabled us to significantly increase production capacity while reducing lead times. One of the biggest advantages has been the reduced reliance on sinker EDM machines, streamlining workflow and improving operational efficiency. With this latest software update delivering up to 20% faster printing speeds, we can produce precision tooling even more quickly, further expanding our toolroom capacity. In today’s competitive manufacturing environment, Mantle’s technology gives us a critical edge to better serve our clients."
Growing Industry Adoption
Mantle has also gained new users of its additive manufacturing technology. Medical device manufacturers Edwards Lifesciences and Intricon have integrated Mantle’s TrueShape technology into their toolmaking operations. Injection molders Elite Mold & Engineering, Four Square/TRE, and injection moldmaker Buss Precision Mold now offer Mantle’s automated toolmaking system to their customers.
Last year, Mantle raised $20 million in a Series C funding round. CEO Ted Sorom discussed this development on the Additive Insight podcast in October.
