Boosting Domestic Lithium Supply for Battery Production

Stardust Power has officially broken ground on its new lithium refinery in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The company selected a 66-acre site within Southside Industrial Park. This location provides crucial access to power and water resources. The refinery aims to strengthen domestic lithium supply chains. This is vital for the rapidly expanding battery production sector.

Production Capacity and Feedstock Details

Phase 1 of the refinery will produce 25,000 metric tonnes of lithium carbonate annually. The company plans a second phase to double this capacity to 50,000 metric tonnes. The refinery will process lithium brine. This brine is sourced from oil and gas wells. This ensures a consistent feedstock supply. This supports the growing demand for lithium-based energy storage solutions.
