Major Milestone Reached After Nearly Three Years

Torex Gold Resources Inc., based in Toronto, Ontario, has successfully produced its first copper concentrate from the Media Luna Project following the conclusion of a four-week tie-in period. This significant achievement comes nearly three years after the project's feasibility study was released.

Jody Kuzenko, President and CEO of Torex, acknowledged the complexity of the tie-in process, which required meticulous execution. The company successfully put 136 distinct systems into service and completed 83 tie-ins. Kuzenko expressed confidence in the company’s ability to start trucking copper concentrate within the next few days and reach commercial production in the coming weeks.

Strategic Advancements and Production Outlook

Torex has drilled off 88 stopes, with 46 planned for mining in 2025, 35 in 2026, and 7 in 2027. The upcoming commissioning of the paste plant in Q2 2025 is expected to further enhance throughput levels.

The company remains optimistic about achieving steady-state mining rates of 7,500 tonnes per day by mid-2026, significantly ahead of the feasibility study’s original projections. This accelerated timeline underscores Torex Gold’s commitment to operational efficiency and growth.

Kuzenko also extended appreciation to Torex’s shareholders and the dedicated workforce and contractors who contributed to the success of the Media Luna Project.
