The daily scrap gold and platinum prices, both hallmarked and non-hallmarked, rose on April 9, 2025, according to the ScrapMonster Price Index. Meanwhile, silver scrap prices remained unchanged compared to the previous day.

Gold Scrap Price Movements

In the hallmarked category:
  • 14-carat gold scrap prices increased by $0.36 per ounce.
  • 18-carat gold scrap prices rose by $0.47 per ounce.
  • 22-carat gold scrap prices climbed by $0.58 per ounce.
  • 9-carat gold scrap prices saw a $0.23 per ounce increase.
In the non-hallmarked category:
  • 14-carat gold scrap prices moved up by $0.34 per ounce.
  • 18-carat gold scrap prices edged higher by $0.44 per ounce.

Platinum and Silver Scrap Prices

Platinum scrap prices recorded an increase of $2.19 per ounce, reaching $672.98 per ounce. In contrast, silver scrap prices remained stable at $22.84 per ounce, showing no change from the previous day.
