New Shannon Site to Deliver Data Center, ITAD, and Sustainability Services

SK Tes, a global leader in IT asset disposition (ITAD) and electronics recycling, is expanding its operations to Ireland. The company, part of South Korea-based SK Ecoplant, is constructing a 36,000-square-foot facility in Shannon to serve Ireland's growing technology and data center sectors.

The new site will offer full-spectrum ITAD, decommissioning, and certified data destruction services. SK Tes says the facility will support the technology lifecycle management needs of Irish enterprises, including hyperscale data centers.

Focus on Circularity and Sustainable Growth

SK Tes expects the Shannon facility to open in mid-2025. The company emphasizes that the site will help businesses scale efficiently, securely decommission IT assets, and promote circular economy practices.

Eric Ingebretsen, Chief Commercial Officer at SK Tes, highlights Ireland's importance as a global data hub. He says the Shannon site will deliver "world-class ITAD and data center solutions" with a focus on security and sustainability.

Thomas Holberg, Chief Operating Officer at SK Tes, adds that the facility will create over 25 new jobs in County Clare. The project reflects SK Tes’s commitment to environmental innovation, offering optimized asset reuse, responsible recycling, and minimized e-waste generation.
