Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry (WAF), a leading manufacturer of aluminum and copper-based alloy castings, has announced its acquisition of Anderson Global, a premier aluminum foundry tooling manufacturer based in Muskegon, Michigan. This strategic move expands WAF’s expertise in tooling, casting, and machining, reinforcing its position in the North American aluminum foundry industry.

Strengthening Capabilities in Tooling and Machining

Founded over 40 years ago by John and Betsy McIntyre, Anderson Global has built a strong reputation for producing complex, high-precision tooling. The company employs more than 50 skilled journeymen machinists and boasts an extensive range of advanced machining equipment in its 100,000-square-foot facility, including seven 5-axis CNC high-speed machining centers, two EDM die-sinking systems, ten CNC high-speed machining centers, six CNC vertical machining centers, five CNC horizontal machining centers, four CNC turning centers, one CNC cutter grinder, and 3D scanning and printing capabilities.

With this acquisition, Anderson Global will continue to operate as a standalone subsidiary within WAF’s portfolio, maintaining all 80 team members under WAF’s ownership. The purchase aligns with WAF’s commitment to growing its capabilities in industrial tooling and machining while supporting the broader resurgence of American manufacturing.

A Shared Vision for the Future

“We are thrilled to welcome Anderson Global to the WAF family,” said WAF CEO Sachin Shivaram. “John and Betsy McIntyre have built a world-class business that stands as the gold standard for tooling in our industry. This acquisition not only strengthens our internal capabilities but also ensures Anderson Global will continue to support foundries across North America as an independent and trusted partner. We look forward to investing in the people, technology, and equipment that will enable Anderson Global to thrive for decades to come.”

John and Betsy McIntyre expressed confidence in WAF as the right partner for Anderson Global’s future. “As we looked to the future of Anderson Global, it was important to us to find a partner that understands our industry and shares our values. Given our long-standing partnership with WAF, they were the natural choice. We are excited to see Anderson Global continue to grow and serve all of its customers with the added support and resources WAF brings.”

“Anderson Global has an amazing team delivering excellence across the organization,” added Shivaram. “Our goal is to grow by continuing to deliver the highest-quality tooling in the industry and by supporting the broader resurgence of American manufacturing.”
